AI use and algorithmic transparency

Last updated: May 19, 2026.

Nexus Humanum promotes critical, responsible, human-supervised use of artificial intelligence applied to healthcare, education, and healthcare management.

1. General principle

AI should be used as a support tool, not as a substitute for professional judgment, human responsibility, or the clinical relationship.

2. Use of AI tools

Nexus Humanum may use AI to support initial drafting, editorial review, conceptual analysis, outlines, educational support, translation, information synthesis, material design, and automation of non-clinical processes.

3. Human supervision

All AI-assisted content must be reviewed, edited, and validated by a responsible person before publication or professional use.

4. Limits of AI

AI tools may produce errors, bias, omissions, or convincing but incorrect answers. They should not be the sole source for clinical, legal, economic, institutional, or safety decisions.

5. Personal and health data

Nexus Humanum does not recommend entering personal data, identifiable clinical data, or sensitive patient information into external AI tools without a legal basis, valid consent, an adequate contract, or sufficient safeguards.
